Blinger awards...

You have voted 28 Wyresdale Road (bling #205), Liverpool L9, top housebling for 2005-6. Well done that blinger! In second place, you voted for a house in Par (bling #83), Cornwall. Third place goes to a house in Chesterfield (bling #222), Derbyshire.

Your number one choice is a good one: the blinger has created something special (in our view) by considering the whole structure of the house and then visually enhancing it – rather than covering the walls with unrelated elements. This structural approach is probably easier with a large detached house, so it's all the more gratifying see it applied successfully to a terraced home. And there's snow as well!

The team would like to mention our favourite charity bling: it's Olive Linge's from Hockley, Essex (bling #177). It's a massive installation and they raise loads for the local children's hospice.

Many thanks to everyone who submitted houseblings: this site is a result of your work! We look forward to hearing from you (and many more!) after a great spring and summer.
